Ten clubs represented on grand final day

THE Hume league is preparing for another bumper crowd with 10 clubs represented in Saturday’s grand finals at Walbundrie.
With $48,400 taken at the gate last season, the league could be in for another financial boon with the Ovens and Murray grand final only being played next weekend.
League general manager Dalton Wegener said it was a bonus to have a high number of different clubs participating.
“We usually get around 7000 people so I would imagine it would be around that again,” Wegener said.
“A lot of things like the weather and team participation come into it.
“It will be interesting to see if the Ovens and Murray grand final being played a week later has any impact as well.”
Jindera’s Aimee Riley will sing the national anthem at 2.20pm.
Billabong Crows have the catering.
