Jindera co-captain Danny Middleton is expecting a tight grand final against Osborne

From the Border Mail

JINDERA co-captain Danny Middleton believes the club couldn’t have asked for a better preparation for Saturday’s grand final against Osborne at Walbundrie.

“A lot of the boys are hungry to win after losing last year,” Middleton, 22, said.

“There will be a lot of run and carry and running each way.

“Osborne play a really similar game to us.”

Middleton, who has clocked up 92 senior matches for Jindera after playing his junior football for Albury, said the Bulldogs had belief in their ability to run out matches.

“We had a pretty big pre-season,” he said.

“Bahry (coach Kerry Bahr) is fit himself and even put on the boots early.

“We did a hard pre-season, it was hard under ‘Tex’ (Josh Walker) as well.”

Middleton played juniors with Bulldog teammates Ryan Speed, Will King and Sam Crawshaw at Albury.
