CULCAIRN sharpshooter Jamie Robbins believes the late inclusion of Peter Cook has been a major factor in the Lions’ charge into the preliminary final.

After managing only three senior home and away matches, Cook returned for the first final and has bagged eight goals in wins over Brocklesby-Burrumbuttock and Rand-Walbundrie-Walla.

Cook’s return has given Culcairn a three-pronged attack with Robbins and Trent Peryzk having kicked 69 and 37 goals respectively.

“He’s something else to worry about,” Robbins said.

“We have three different types of forwards in Trent, ‘Cooky’ and myself.

“He’s a straight shooter when he gets his chances.”

Robbins won his first league goalkicking award at Henty on Wednesday night after being Prahran’s leading goalkicker for the last three seasons.

He said Jindera would be difficult to beat on Saturday.

“We have five in a row at the moment and are looking to push through to get six and seven,” he said.
