Round 15 Preview – 2017

From the Border Mail

HOLBROOK’S finals prospects have taken a hit with in-form forward Andrew Mackinlay being ruled out for the season.

Mackinlay, who has kicked 44 goals to trail Henty’s James Breen by four in the league’s goalkicking, tore his quad just above the knee during the opening term against Culcairn last week.

A minor tear saw him miss several weeks a month ago.

Holbrook is only four points outside the top six but take on undefeated Osborne at Holbrook on Saturday.

Traditional rivals Henty and Culcairn could turn on the closest match of the round at Henty.

The Swampies have been in sensational touch over the past month and will look to stretch their opponents’ under-sized defence through Brent Ohlin.

CDHBU take on Jindera, Billabong Crows host Rand-Walbundrie-Walla, Lockhart will fancy its chances of upsetting Howlong and Murray Magpies do battle with Brocklesby-Burrumbuttock.
